WOMAC or Women On the Move Against Cancer is a fantastic charitable organisation which nominates a different cancer charity each year to support. For 2012, the chosen charity is Action Against Cancer. Money is being raised for a ‘LightCycler’, a cutting edge machine that will provide a deeper insight into the make-up of cancer-causing genes. This will allow them to develop improved tests to diagnose, and drugs to treat, breast cancer, lung cancer and pancreatic cancer.
Every year a party is held in a different location to raise moneyand this year it was at the BAFTAs in London.
Food served: Amazing little meals in individual ramekins: fish pie; risotto; meat balls; and little burgers and fries. I felt that it would be rude not to sample them all (bar the burger as wheat is a no go for me) and they were all delicious!
A lovely evening was had by all and it was great to support such a great cause.
